time travel

as the new boy walks in she senses something...Wierd about him and she can't stop staring. She soon reliazes he is what she is. A witch. The new boy's family is cursed and a horrible curse at that. When the new boy's brother almost dies they have to go backk in time to change the curse and stop it. Kate's grandmother sends them back in time to when the curse orignated. Jarrod dosen;t want ot belive in magic but as soon as they get backk in time he is starting to belive. When kate gets kiddnapped by the villan who is making the curse jarrod has to belive and train his ausome magic powers to fight the villan. Marianne Curley (the author) Tells the story from jarrod's and kate's point of view really realisticly. I highly reccomend this book and give it 5 stars

My best friend and I read the same type of books, so when my birthday rolled around, she bought me this book. She made me promise to let her read it sometime. (Sorry, haven't gotten around to that yet). I looked at the cover, and thought: "this looks interesting." So I picked it up and started reading.

Interesting doesn't even begin to describe it. I finished this book within a day, then immediately re-read it. It was better the second time around, and the third, and the fourth...

You get it, right?

The first thing that caught me was Jarrod's doubt. It's a bit annoying at times, but there's that little voice in the back of my head saying "Don't worry Jarrod, you'll figure it out." Good thing Kate is exeptionally stubborn.

I also liked the way the author switched between the characters. It gave you two insights on the same situation, so you're not thinking "what might be (enter random book character here) be thinking about?"

I especially liked the time-travel bit to medieval England. I am a self-confessed Celtic/medieval fanatic. This is also where Jarrod finally listens to what Kate's been trying to tell him-after she gets kidnapped. Real helpful, huh? Watching him scare his 'relatives' is awfully fun, though.

The fight at the end was a bit cliched, but well written nonetheless. It gets scary there for a minute, with the giant Rhauk-crow and all, but it all comes out okay. (Another well written cliche).

Every time I have no new book to read, I go back to this. It's better every time I read it. After I finish with this review I'll probably go read again, just becasuse I've been talking/writing about it. And I'll also have to try to get in touch with my friend. I love this book, but I don't want a monopoly on it!!

WOW!! i loved this book so much!! i read it in 2 or 3 days and i couldn't put it down! i STRONGLY reccommend it. i am lending it to my brother, my mom, and my best friend. her style of writing is really good, and i love the way she tells the story. i fell in luv with Jarrod and Kate is awesome! i really, really reccommend this book.

btw i am 15, but it is good for any age group (from about 7th or 8th grade and up).
