The meaning of a stamp

Postby hamster on Wed Jul 26, 2006 2:55 pm

If someone gave you a postage stamp, would you save it for the pretty picture or immediately stick it on an envelope and mail something somewhere?

Or would you grab the nearest pair of scissors and shred it into tiny pieces?

Justify your decision.

I would put it on an envelope and ship it to some far off place
because that is why I would buy a stamp after all and if it's really pretty maybe the person I send it to will save it's pretty picture

I'll add it to my stamp collection box, which will be misplaced and never be found again until 2000 years later, upon when it will become a significant archaeology discovery.

Unless, of course, you misplace it in a swamp, in which case it will soon vanish forever.

Be oh so careful when traversing swamps.

I wonder if all archeological finds are just things that were misplaced by the owner well except buildings of course

It is interesting that you bring up the swamp, hamster, because I just heard aabout a 1000 year old book of hyms in an irish swamp on NPR. So nil, Your stamps may survive a swamp if you take care to make sure they do.

If I liked the picture so much, I would just get a print of it and use the stamp.

Do you suppose that the mysterious hymnster intended to sink his book in that swamp for the benefit of future generations?

I buy my stamps in packs... So if the fancy took me, I guess I could save one and mail the others.

If someone gave me a stamp, I'd smile. No-one gives me stamps. Something about paper-cut. I get so bored playing with pillows, and teddy bears that have had their button-eyes cut out. They say if I'm good I can have a wedge of cheese but, I think I'd like to hit them with it. But shhh!! Don't tell... please?
Fries with that?? HOW CAN I HAVE FRIES WITH THAT WHEN MY PEOPLE ARE IN BONDAGE!?!
