Really, the subject title sums it up... If you could choose to be immortal, would you? And why? Or why not?

I would want to live as long as it takes to see everything there is to see, to learn as much as possible... But eternity is such a long time, and noone really knows what happens when you die, that could be a whole new adventure. Anyway, who says eternal life guarantees eternal youth? I'd hate to be trapped in a steadily decaying body, increasingly incapable of doing anything and unable to die. I wouldn't choose immortality. Would you?

that's how it is and If I were the only one to live forever then I'd have to watch everyone I grew up with die
