Does anyone other than myself like Manga?

Manga is the Japanese word for comic. It was evolved from the traditional Japanese art of Manataga which in Japanese means "Drawing of the Sea Turtle".

There was a legend in ancient Japan where a sea turtle had helped a prince to restore his throne (by bombarding his enemies with his turtle eggs). The prince tried to reward the turtle with all his gold. The turtle refused but asked him to record his deeds on a series of pictures. The prince did and the the picture book was called "Manataga" which was the first Japanese comic book.

A lot of Anime on tv came from manga, like Ruroni Kenshin, Yu Yu hakasho, Naruto , etc. Some things in the anime may be different from the original manga.

I happen to like the ones I mentioned, plus one called Yakitate!! Japan. It's about a kid who dreams about making Ja-pan(pan is the Japanese word for bread. Ja-pan is a pun)

There are quite a few movies and series that I like. Quite a few scifi forums include manga as part of their list of topics, so you aren't alone at all. It really is quite popular.
