Death and Meaning of Life

Put a thousand monkeys in a room and you get the work of Shakespeare. Put a thousand mentally inspired members in a forum, and you can figure out any truth, even the meaning of life.

Death and Meaning of Life

Postby nil on Tue Mar 29, 2005 10:16 am

If there's nothing after death, isn't everything we do now is a complete waste of time?

Like a castle in the sand: when the wave comes, whatever we built becomes part of the ocean...

Well...

Postby Bomadeno on Fri Apr 08, 2005 10:11 pm

I think like the meaning of life, the afterlife could be an illusion created by our minds - however I do sort of hope there's an afterlife.

But then again someone once said to me 'Did you dislike it before you were born?'
And I answered 'I can't remeber, why?'
He then said 'Then what are you worried about dying for?'

About afterlife

Postby zenbird on Sat Apr 09, 2005 7:53 am

We only worry about death when we are alive. When we are dead, all the little neurons reponsible for the worrying cease to function and our worry will be gone.

Afterlife

Postby Chazoa on Tue Apr 12, 2005 12:31 am

I don't know. I'd like to prefer that the afterlife is more of a Reincarnation. Come back to THIS earth as something else. I hope it's something scary...

Something Scary

Postby nil on Tue Apr 12, 2005 4:16 am

Come back as something Scary? That would be human being. We are scary. Whoever dare to cross us or whoever dumb enough to be dumb are quickly eliminated from the surface of the Earth.

We are dumb?

Postby Bomadeno on Tue Apr 12, 2005 6:15 pm

No i have to disagree. I think we are the most intelligent animals on the face of the planet - oh yeah there is one problem.

We all have 'common sense' (this is what tells us to fight, and eat and be nasty or argue or whatever you feel like doing.

So we are intelligent - just we don't know how best to use it. Humanity can do anything it wants - but it just can't get its act together.

What everyone needs is a splash of 'rare-sense' This is what makes us say we love each other (which is why sadly people only say it to their wife) or do the kind things in life. So I say now, with my little bit of rare sense, I hope you all who read this have a really good day, get all your work done and make friends with people.

Intelligent and Death

Postby nil on Wed Apr 13, 2005 6:44 am

We are usually very intelligent. Only intelligent being will pad their own shoulder and call themselves intelligent. After all, self glorification is the first sign of intelligent.

We should be nice to, so occasionally other people will pad our shoulder for us...

I don't think intelligent life like us will die so easily... we must be immortal! 8)

Well... At least we live MUCH longer than other living creatures. Except turtles and trees.

That's why we need to chop off all the trees and kill the turtles into extinction. How else can we prolong our life (in a relative way)?

Wait... We need to get rid of those hippies first. "Save the trees..."

BURN THE TREES!  BURN THEM ALL!

And don't forget to carve open the turtles

Tree and Turtle

Postby nil on Fri Apr 15, 2005 3:31 am

I got a complaint letter from the Frontier Turtle and Tree Protection Association (FTTPA). Their lawyer asked me to pull off this link. He said it encourages violence behaviors towards innocent trees and turtles, or poking turtles with a tree.

Whoever posted in this thread will be sued and faced a possible 10 years imprisonment, and also a restraining order from living close to a tree or a turtle.

Turtle bowling

Postby nil on Sat Apr 16, 2005 5:49 am

Yes, I heard some southern pacific nations suggested to add turtle bowling to the Olympic. But of course, the FTTPA was against it.
