Fable was born in this hideous world. He was a turtle orphan, for his parents were eaten by a turtle-eaten-shark. Many people told him sharks don't eat turtles, but he knew they were lying.

He saw the sharks looming in the shallow sea above. He knew one of them had murdered his parents.
