One of the better Lupin Movies

Dragon of Doom is a very good addition to the Lupin movies. Not perfect at all but it does deliver with the entertainment. And no, it's not on par with Castle of Cagliostro at all. But then again, what is?

This movie seems a bit more thought out than usual but does have its's faults. It begins when Goemon is attacked by a group of ninjas. Lupin and Jigen join the fight. Lupin soon learns he has to continue a mission his grandfather failed at. There are a few things taking place in this one with random action scenes happening here and there. A couple of scenes do a good job building tension with a close call once in awhile. At least one escape was pulled off clever but it ended real silly. This one isn't as predictable and has a good ending. The comedy is there and it's within the dialogue as well. The rest of the gang get a good amount of screen time. I love Jigen's line almost at the end.

There is a small bit of fan service concerning Fujiko. But nothing too out of control. Overall this is a solid movie and will most likely appeal to anime fans who likes a bit of comedy and action.

great story and fast paced

It begans when Goemon is attacked by ninjas trying to claim his Almighty Sword which can cut through any material on Earth. Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko discover notorious Hong Kong mobster Chin Chin Chou is searching for a treasure that lies hidden within the Titanic.
