New Howto Topics...
The order of comments have changed. New comments will appear at the bottom of a conversation read more.
Where to find the latest comment? Scroll down on you left hand side... see it?

How to track your own works? Click "my account" and click "track". You can track anyone's work this way (click their 'name' on the posts, and click track)

Check out the hall of fame... because it's new and you might want to create a new home page?

For a newbie:
If you already have an account in abs.hat.net, your id and password should be identical (but you need to login/logout on each site individually), if you register after 10/30/2005, then you need to register again in here.

  1. If not, register and login (anyone are welcome to join).
  2. First thing to do after login...
    1. click "my account" (on left hand side)
    2. change to the bluemarine theme (if you like)
    3. To enable email notification:
      1. goto my notify settings
      1. enable notify status
      2. turn on "notify new content" or "notify new comments" (if you like)
  3. Create contents by
    1. click "write a story"
    2. select a category
    3. post
  4. You can also post in the forums
  5. Or you can also create a blog
  6. click "member list" to see if you are an editor (it's assigned automatically by # of post, didn't work very well now)

How to read?
The contents can be divided into two groups: Post and Comments
The newest posts (including books, stories, blogs etc) are posted on the front page.
The most recent comments on the left hand navigation under the "search" box.

Weep no more

When I click onto "write a book" it opens the page and there's:

1.Title____________________

2.Parent:Muder of a Sea Turtle
***Question:How do I get rid of this parent title????***
****How to I put in my own parent title??? There does not seem to be an option for this....??****

3. Body:__________________

I am interested in writing/editing my own book without any contributing pages from others. How do I do this???

I would welcome any criticisms but not contributions....I'd be happier if the work was entirely original.

It took me a while but I finally figure it out. Now you should be able to create a new book by clicking "write a book".

I haven't found a function to prevent others from adding to your book. But since you are an editor, you can remove pages from your book (if someone did it accidentally) and assign it to other books.

Perhaps you can include in your title (Astarte's private book), so others know not to add to your book.

Don't click add comments, click the "Add Child Page" under your synopsis.

And you should use the title
Chapter 01 - The Chippetuck Chronicles
instead of
The Chippetuck Chronicles - Chapter 1

So your chapters will stay in order (You don't want chapter 2 go before chapter 1, do you?)
