I waited so long for summer to come

to have all day to my self. to do all those projects I've been waiting all school year to do.

but alas I now find that I am horribly bored as I was last year

I read a book but that's not what I want on such a beautiful day

I write a bit but still that is an inside thing

there is no one here to keep me company

and there is nothing to do outside alone

when I was young I could roam all day with visions of adventure

I never needed anyone to keep me company then

or perhaps I never noticed because I had some one to keep me company

the second mate on a grand ship, the mighty knight whome I was a liege lady for, that person who had been attacked by a monster who I had to save

but now I am alone and I no longer think of monsters or knights or ships

and I no longer invision that I am in such situations
