isn't it odd how in the winter time, a person can sit in the sunshine and remain freezing unless they are inside?

I mean how can the sun shine so bright and yet it's cold?

I think sunshine in winter works like the refrigerator light in a refrigerator. You can have all the brightness you want but none of the warmth.
