This book by Lemony Snicket is one of the best books that he has written in this series, in my opinion. It has a good plot to it, it's not confusing or boring, and it's not very hard to read either.

The plot is that three children are running from Count Olaf and end up getting a job at this hotel only to find out that he is staying at this hotel with a bunch of his friends. The kids have to get a disguise and work there without being caught.

I give this book five stars because it is just an awesome book for anyone who likes to read this series. This book is definitely in the top three books in this series.

When I saw the Harry Potter movie marathon during the holidays, I thought I'd try reading the books. At first, I was skeptical because when they first came out I didn't get what the hype was all about. But now after seeing the movies and reading the complete series, I understand it now.

This book is truly captivating, more intense and frightening than the first. I absolutely loved it! It was both entertaining and funny, much like the other six in the series. It is engaging to read, and I honestly think it appeals to all ages. Even older readers will enjoy being taken back to the days when the border between fantasy and reality was blurred, and all the books would keep the modern teenager entranced. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets actually kept me laughing throughout. At some points in the middle, the story may get slightly boring, but don't worry, it gets better. It seems that even when the first book in a series is great the second or third one absoluley sucks. Not with something Cristopher Paolini writes!! The first book was great but the second was (if anything) even better because of his maturity in his writing style. The parellel storyline with Roran add a huge amount to the book.

I have listened to this book several times. It's great. I love putting stories on and then doing some embroidery and sewing work while I listen. Book 5 is intense, but I have great memories of it.

What else would you expect from JKR? The adventures continue to be thrilling, and Harry faces some dangers we couldn't have imagined. There is still time for some romance and some laughter, though. Definitely a book for older children at this point; I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone younger than 13.
