Spirited Away: Spirited Away, a movie from Hayao Miyazaki, was a joy to watch. My family and I have watched it 2-3 times since we've bought this 3 Pack and it is just great! The movie itself is amazing, the artwork (animation) is brilliant, and the voices for the characters all seem to fit well. The story is a great story, perfect for children, but some scary moments with a character named No Face. Castle in the Sky: Castle in the Sky, a movie from Hayao Miyazaki was a blast. My family and I enjoyed this movie also, it seemed to get the little ones a little bored because the movie does "drag" just a bit it seemed like, but its great if you have the patience for a movie. Miyazaki just knows how to entertain us. So much so that a huge name such as Disney would pick up his Japanese films. And this is as good a team as I've seen in quite some time (Disney and Ghibli). Disney has the capability of getting those big named voices (Uma Thurman, Patrick Stewart, and Michael Keaton to name a few) that make these movies twice as magical as they already are.

This collection brings together not just two of Miyazaki's truest masterpieces (Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke) but also four more of his past successes. With Howl's Moving Castle looming for DVD release this is a great way to get yourself affiliated with Ghibli work. I'd recommend these to anyone but especially parents who want some family time but are completely bored with what their children enjoy. Not all movies work for the entire family, however. One, Princess Mononoke is definitely more mature than others, while Kiki's Delivery Service is geared more for the kids.

This film is one of my favorites. It is a "work of art" as many have said. If I had children, I would want them to see this one (after the age of 5 or 6, I'd say), but it *is* long, and the young ones could fall asleep if you're watching it at night with them. I love the message of friendship, and how kindhearted the characters could be. Other characters were not so kind, but you later learn why they are unkind and are able to see why compassion reigns supreme. I have nothing but love for this film!

masterpiece? i dont think so. when i think masterpiece i think of the godfather, fargo, and bats. maybe even freaked. yes totally freaked. thats a good movie go buy that film, not this. this is not that good. i liked the part where the old guy jumps from the window and for about 20 minutes shoots that other guy from the ground for about 20 minutes. and then he shoots the car and then a tree. hmmmmm sound like a movie you wanna watch? i do i think ill watch it again.

I used to watch this on VHS with my brother when he'd come home & visit us on his college breaks. Raising Arizona has always been a favorite of mine. It's easy to see why. Nicolas Cage & Holly Hunter are hilarious in this. The beginning sequence where he goes into prison again reminds me of coming into my own job each day and seeing the same, sad & bitter faces like always. My absolute favorite part is the chase scene with the dogs and the clerk from the store. This movie is pretty dark, so beforwarned if your one of those that prefers happy tidy rosy canned Hollywood movies. This is anything but ordinary. I can't even liken it to anything else. If unusual is what you crave, then add this to your collection. You won't be sorry!

I think you have to see this movie a second time to fully appreciate it. There is alot of subtlties that I didn't pick up on until I watched it again years later. All the acting was fantastic. A standout performance for the actor who played the "salesman" at the hotel. Weird-a-rama!!! The movie ends up being completely freaky and surreal, and ya got to have a warped mind to fully grasp the surrealness of the Coen Brothers. Strange-a-rama..........

This movie starring Tim Robins, is one of our family favorites. I don't think it got the credit, or exposure that it should have. Strangely weird, and funny. So glad to have it on DVD.

I think its a amazing movie, well directed, great acting. I love the humor in it. I guess only some people I met so far liked it. You just have to be different. If you are typical low intelligence american who likes action movies or lame romantic movies you might not like it.

I love this movie, and I'm not even a Coen fan. Some of the humor is very offbeat and/or subtle, so it's not for everyone (people either seem to love it or hate it ~ I've never heard a neutral reaction to the film).
