Having returned, under threat of penguin attack, I solidfy my safety by proposing a new topic:

Why do many cartoon girls have no noses but cartoon boys almost always do? Are noses considered subconsciously unfeminine? Is it a Freudian thing (keep that angle of discussion PG-rated, please!)

Hmmm......

Perhaps it's to enhance the ruggedly good looks of the males?

That's because cartoon girls usually have bigger eyes, leaving no more facial estate for other less essential features...

I think it's because every time a cartoon is drawn, the Great Nose Thinker decides whether or not the cartoon gets a nose

maybe he likes girls more so they have noses that are either unnoticeable or non excistent

Is the Great Nose Thinker any relation to the Great Pumpkin? Does the Great Pumpkin have a nose? Does Lucy Van Pelt have a nose?

If you repeat that several times rapidly, it sounds like "noses, noses." Maybe a secret summons for the Great Nose Thinker? Or perhaps an antidote for his archenemy, the Great Nose Picker.

Would a nose by any other name smell as sweet?

I think it depends on what it was smelling... Some pretty flowers? Or rotten chicken?
